The memories of motherhood begin way before the birth, while you still feel refreshed, beautiful and excited about your new arrival.

Sometimes we may think that we do not want to capture this time. For whatever reason you may have, this is a moment in your life that you will treasure forever.
You will always remember the day you first heard your baby’s heartbeat, the first kick or the tiny little hiccups. But will you remember the beautiful baby bump or how gorgeous you looked?
I know it is not always comfortable, the cramps, the swelling… It is ok! It is may job to make you feel amazing even if it is just for an hour or so.
For the perfect maternity session I recommend scheduling the shoot between 30 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. Some mommies start showing very early and choose to do their sessions earlier,
as soon as 28 weeks while others stay tiny and do not show as much and will wait until the last few weeks.

I am asked a lot about the best places to do the maternity sessions. There are so many different options, depending on what you have in mind for your images. I am always open to different locations around the island. We are spoiled for choices here for location sessions: beautiful beaches, fields, urban street and markets areas… I always suggest aiming for the golden hour, which is an hour prior to the sunset for an outdoor session on a sunny day. I love everything about the warm sun rays backlighting the round belly.

On location maternity session is not the only option for your maternity photo session here on Okinawa. I have a fully equipped studio where we could plan a fine art session.

To complete planning the special photo shoot, I suggest using a hair and makeup stylist for your maternity shoot for absolute pampering.  I highly recommend Sydney Ito Make-up Artist

When it comes to clothing, I have pinned outfit inspiration on my Pinterest board in case you decided to plan your outfit to coordinate with your husband or your family. The session fee is considered as a non refundable retainer fee that is due within 24hrs from discussing the booking of your date. This will secure the date of your photo shoot.

Session is considered booked ONLY when completed session agreement form and session fee is received and confirmed by Simply Ania.

The link to the agreement form expires after 24hrs or at 72hrs prior to the session time, whichever is sooner.

Last minute bookings need to be booked and confirmed no less than 72hrs from the discussed session date.

No prints or digital negatives are included in the session fee unless otherwise specified.

All images taken during your session will be copyrighted by Simply Ania and are protected by Federal Copyright Law.

It is therefore unlawful to reproduce the work in any manner without photographer's written permission.

Due to the custom nature of each session, all sales are final.

Re-shoots are at the discretion of the photographer and are not given for regretful personal choices as hair and clothing.
